About the A-T Children's Project
The A-T Children's Project is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support and coordinate biomedical research projects, scientific conferences, and a clinical center aimed at finding a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia, a fatal genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, cancer, and immune system problems.
What is A-T?
Imagine a disease that combines the worst symptoms of muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, immune deficiencies, and cancer. Children with A-T are usually confined to wheelchairs by age 10 and often do not survive their teens. Because A-T is a multi-system disease, scientists believe that A-T research will help more prevalent diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, AIDS, and cancer. Help Team A-T Children's Project Reach Our Goal
On Sunday, May 20, 2018, Team A-T Children's Project is partnering with the Penn Medicine Orphan Disease Center in the Million Dollar Bike Ride to fund A-T research. If we raise a minimum of $20,000, our efforts will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000!

There are two ways you can help:

DONATE
Click on the Donate Now! button on the left column and share the link with your friends and family. Ask them to support Team A-T Children's Project so we can hit our goal of raising $50,000 - an amount that will be DOUBLED! This money will go toward supporting research to find a cure for A-T.

CYCLE
Join Team A-T Children's Project and participate in the Million Dollar Bike Ride with us! Registration is $25 with a fundraising minimum of $250. 100% of registration and fundraising money will go toward our goal.

This small donation and my riding in the event is in honor of Derek DeGregorio and his courageous battle against A-T. He is an inspiration and a model for all of us. --John Evans
