Dear Friends and Supporters of CHOPR,

Our Impactful Journey:

Since our establishment in 1989 by the visionary Dr. Linda H. Aiken, CHOPR has been at the forefront of rigorous research on the impact of nursing on patient outcomes. Our mission is to bridge the gap between evidence-based research and healthcare policy while nurturing the next generation of scientists who will shape the future of healthcare.

Dr. Linda Aiken's groundbreaking work has earned her comparisons to the legendary Florence Nightingale. Today, under the capable leadership of Director and Professor Matthew D. McHugh, PhD, JD, MPH, CRNP, RN, FAAN, CHOPR continues to lead in nursing outcomes and policy research, integrating a unique combination of expertise spanning public health, law, healthcare policy, and clinical nursing.
