LAM is a rare, incurable lung disease that affects only 5 in one million women. She was diagnosed with this disease in 2004. Critical research funds for rare diseases are limited. Through this annual bike ride, greater awareness and funding will be invested toward finding a cure for this debilitating disease.

We trust in God's Sovereignty! Florence's disease has progressed relatively slowly - however, the disease will continue to progress unless a cure is found.

The disease progression will lead to progressive shortness of breath and the need for supplemental oxygen and possibly a lung transplant. More information about LAM can be found here: www.thelamfoundation.org.

All funds raised will go directly to the LAM Foundation, a non-profit organization that has a proven track record. It has funded research that identified the first ever effective treatment for this disease.
