Team UP is taking on the venture of bringing 50 ardent veterans on a trip to the nations capital. Tours of a diverse array of war memorials, historic monuments, and the White House itself will provide both an entertaining and educational program for the participants. In fact, Team UP is conscientious of the cultural sensitivities of the TRIO group, and will be incorporating trips to locations such as the Smithsonian Museum of American History to gain greater insights into the prominent social movements throughout the history of America. Trips undertaken in previous years have been described as some of the most enriching experiences that the veterans have been exposed to.

TRIO Veterans Upward Bound, in conjunction with Team UP, will be massively benefited by donations in kind and in tender for funding the costs of transportation, food, and tour fees. Veterans have a right to see the capital of the country they have offered their lives for, and fulfilling their aspirations to go to Washington is a monumental achievement for TRIO Veterans core principles.
