Team LUCK

Support Alyson and BRCA research
In July 2022, Alyson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her cancer is linked to the BRCA mutation. One of the all-star oncologists on Alyson's team is Dr. Kim Reiss Binder from Penn Medicine.

Dr. Reiss Binder received the 2020 Young Investigator Award for her work studying the development and testing of new treatments for pancreatic cancer and other GI malignancies. "This is a population that doesn't have many options to treat one of the deadliest forms of cancer," Dr. Reiss Binder says. "To be able to offer a targeted therapy with much less toxicity, even if only for a subset of our patients, would be a wonderful thing."

100% of donations will go to the Basser Center for BRCA and support future research on the BRCA gene.

From the bottom of all our hearts, thank you for the support.
The Basser Center for BRCA
The Basser Center for BRCA is the first comprehensive center for the research, treatment, and prevention of BRCA-related cancers. These hereditary mutations affect both men and women and can be passed down from either parent. BRCA mutations can increase lifetime risk for cancers including breast, ovarian, pancreatic, prostate and melanoma.

By the year 2035, Basser Center hopes to have an FDA-approved medication or vaccine to prevent BRCA1/2-related cancers not just breast cancer, but ovarian, prostate, and pancreatic cancer, too.

The Basser Center can help you learn more about hereditary cancer risk. https://www.basser.org/
