Remembering Walter J. Czaban

The duties of an officer are the safety, honor, and welfare of your country first; the honor, welfare, and comfort of the men in your command second; and the officer's own ease, comfort, and safety last.
Walter's Story
Walter Joseph Czaban was 69 years old when he passed away from a short battle with cancer. Walter was a lifelong Philadelphian, proud USMC veteran of the Vietnam War, a dedicated member of the Philadelphia Police Department and the Federal Reserve Law Enforcement.

Prior to his passing, Walter decided to make one final gift by choosing to donate his body back to the University of Pennsylvania for the advancement of science.
Why Donate to the Abramson Cancer Center?
Each gift provides Penn's Abramson Cancer Center with the necessary resources to provide leading edge research and the very best in cancer care to patients and their families. We address medicine not just at the cellular level but at the personal level.

Individually, each person can make a difference; collectively, the many friends of the Abramson Cancer Center help shape the future of cancer research and patient care.
