Jeanne M. Bradley
Jeanne's Family
Jeanne was the eldest of eight children born to Helen and Hank LeCompte. Growing up in post-WWII Northeast Philadelphia, Jeanne and her family learned the importance of hard work, perseverance, and strong family bonds. Jeanne trained as a nurse at St. Joseph's and worked her entire career in nursing, including emergency, cardiac, oral surgery, and telemetry. She envisioned a life of opportunities for her children better than those she enjoyed and realized that education was the key.
Fund Purpose: Why Education?
Jeanne loved to read and to pass along her love of reading to her children, family, and friends. She sacrificed, worked nights, and secured financing to ensure that her children would be able to achieve their educational goals. Jeanne knew that every bit of generosity helps. Sometimes, even the gesture itself is the reward. Jeanne's fund will help patients and caregivers in need at the Abramson Cancer Center with expenses, especially those related to education.
Share the Wealth!
Jeanne's fund does not discriminate: whether you would like to contribute ten dollars or ten thousand dollars, all contributions are welcome and appreciated. In partnership with Penn Medicine, Jeanne's Memorial Fund will make it possible for a patient or patient caregiver to buy books, pay tuition and fees, and provide that little bit to help them achieve their dreams.

Jeanne fought multiple myeloma for nineteen years, from her diagnosis in 1998 to her death in 2017. Throughout her life, and especially during her fight with cancer, Jeanne always envisioned the power of "It will all work out." No obstacle was too big, no force too strong, no cost too steep for Jeanne.

Your gift to the Jeanne M. Bradley Memorial Fund is tax deductible and is a great tribute to Jeanne's memory.
