About the Christopher Peterson Memorial Fellowship
The Christopher Peterson Memorial Fellowship, a partnership between the MAPP Alumni Association, Penn's School of Arts and Sciences and the Positive Psychology Center, provides tuition remission of up to 50% to one or more new MAPP students annually. Recipients demonstrate service to others, academic merit and financial need. MAPP explicitly welcomes a diverse classroom of scholars, and this scholarship is intended to reduce barriers and enhance pathways to scholarship for candidates that might not otherwise be able to attend.

Christopher Peterson had such a significant impact on me and my career ... most importantly, he gave me the courage to accept my abilities to be a positive psychology practitioner. --Gordon P{arry
Chris never failed to weave in a photo of a baby into his classroom presentations, even if the photo had nothing to do with the subject at hand. We asked him once, why he always included a slide of a baby. His response? "Because you can't help but smile when you see a baby." I guess you could call it a simple positive intervention. Many of us were lucky enough to study under Chris. I was also lucky to have Chris as my Capstone Advisor. --Margaret Greenberg
We're thinking of you, Chris! Your spirit is with us, and your hilarious stories still make us laugh. --David Pollay
In honoring memory of Chris Peterson, especially his kindness, wisdom, and humility. One evening, my daughter joined a small group of us for dinner after MAPP classes were over. Chris was sitting next to her. Afterwards he told me what a fine person I had raised and why he thought so. I think that was the most memorable feedback I received during my MAPP year. --Ms. Kathryn Britton
